Available Position

Department Head – IS Digital Channels (AVP / VP)

Reporting To: Wing Head – IS Risk Management
Location: Karachi
Organization: National Bank of Pakistan

This role involves managing and strengthening the Information Security (IS) digital channel framework, ensuring secure operations of banking applications, and implementing robust cybersecurity practices within the bank’s digital infrastructure.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following educational and professional requirements:

Education

• Minimum Graduation or equivalent from a local or international university recognized by the Higher Education Commission Pakistan.
• Candidates with Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Technology Engineering, or relevant professional certifications will be preferred.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of professional experience in Information Technology (IT) and/or Information Security.
• At least 3 years of experience specifically in application security, project security, or security assessment.
• Preference will be given to candidates having relevant experience in the banking sector or large-scale organizations.

Required Skills

Candidates applying for this position should possess strong technical and managerial abilities, including:

• In-depth knowledge of Information Security frameworks and functions
• Familiarity with guidelines issued by the State Bank of Pakistan regarding Information Security
• Expertise in performing security control assessments of business applications, IT solutions, and operational processes
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and people management skills
• Ability to analyze security risks and implement effective mitigation strategies

• Maximum 35 years
