Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): 1st Period Apprentice. First Aid Certificate. Fall Arrest Protection Training Course. Working at heights training. Experience: Will train. Additional Skills: Supervise other workers. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications. Instruct apprentices. Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms. Area of Specialization: Skylights. Conventional and inverted built-up system. Rigid pre-formed roofing system. Single ply sheet membrane roofing system. Modified roofing system. Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs). Work Setting: Residential. Industrial. Commercial. Security and Safety: Driving record check (abstract). Criminal record check. Own Tools/Equipment: Tools. Install, repair or replace shingles, shakes and other roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings. Install sheet metal flashings. Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools.
